Our new Mountain Ash trees

New Japanese Maple

Last Saturday we decided to visit our local Baltimore Fruit and Vegetable store where we had previously purchased some of the trees and shrubs we planted after we built our home.  On that earlier visit we bought a sizeable, 15 foot, “Ginko” tree that we had wanted for quite sometime.  We also purchased three Black Weeping Willow, two Plum Trees, two Black Walnut, 20 or more cedars plus a lovely large Blue Pine.

Well, as you already know creating a garden with the trees and shrubs you love is serious business.  Believe me, since we began to build,  we have added pines, boxwoods, plus a plethora of blooming plants to the mix as our gardens evolve.  And remember all these new trees and shrubs must fit into a yard already past the start up stage with 60 foot+ Black Locust, assorted cedars, several Holly plants, Alberta Spruce and other indigenous plants.    Then the delimina was where do we plant the new “Miniature Ginko”, two towering 16 foot Mountain Ash and 8 assorted flowering shrubs.    It took some serious negotiating and a bit of transplanting of some smaller plants but the job is done and we love our new improved landscaping.  Remember,  we here at Loughbreeze B&B and Ontario Cycling Hostel are looking forward to seeing you.
